Trivia University Revealed as 2019 Trivia Weekend Theme

Facebook Twitter

08/30/2018 - 11:00 AM

There are 50 credit hours to complete as you apply to be accepted to Trivia University. The curriculum has yet to be written by the faculty question writers but all course work must be completed from February 15-17, 2019. While there are no pre-requisites, you can conduct academic and field research to make the Dean’s trivia list.

Perhaps you’ll attend a lecture on the history of St. Cloud State University, or prepare for a pop quiz to bolster your trivia transcript. There may be elective classes in library sciences, zoology of rodentia, polysomnography and the history of telephonic communication. Alumni are as important to KVSC's 40th anniversary theme as are the freshman, and don’t forget the fraternities and sororities.

Real Geniuses, enroll in ...Trivia University. Celebrating academia, 150 Years of St. Cloud State, hilarious and fun-filled college experiences and 40 years of KVSC’s Trivia Weekend, where it all began, at SCSU.

It's time to get a B.S. in Trivia!

By the way…there is a potential for DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION if you change Wikipedia entries to hinder other teams. The tenured question writers remind you, “No one is really going to be free until nerd persecution ends.”

Start your mental stretches and prepare to execute your perfect Triple Lindy for Trivia University. Finally, don’t forget, there’s always a future in plastics.

KVSC is now broadcasting in HD in Minneapolis and St. Paul on 89.9 HD3.

Thanks to a new partnership with KMOJ, we are able to share Your Sound Alternative's programming with our members, welcome new listeners and share our Huskies pride with sports fans in the entire Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

How do I listen to KVSC on HD? All you need to do is tune in your HD Radio to 89.9 in the Twin Cities, it will automatically tune to HD1. However, KVSC is two clicks up to HD3 on 89.9. Many newer vehicles feature HD Radios. If your vehicle doesn't automatically tune to HD2 and HD3 channels please consult your owner's manual. Aside from vehicles, you can buy an inexpensive HD Radio for home use.

Where to I get an HD radio? Amazon has a wide variety of HD Radios available in prices ranging between $50 to $175. Minnesota's own Best Buy features models in stores as well as online starting at $35. By the way, HD radios play radio stations in digital and analog.

How far can I listen to KVSC in HD?  This map represents the coverage area of

KVSC on 89.9 HD 3. It gives listeners a clear signal from Maple Grove (where our primary signal from St. Cloud begins to fade) all the way to Hudson, Wisconsin.

This is an exciting development for KVSC and St. Cloud State University. We welcome questions on how to listen in HD as well feedback on our diverse programming that represents the Voice of St. Cloud.

Feel free to email us or call during business hours at 320-308-3053.
